UT-ITC, the faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation of the University of Twente, is leading the ESA EO AFRICA R&D facility project, providing capacity building for Africa and beyond. UT-ITC collaborated with the African partners in Numerous other projects: ESA LUISA (Uganda: Makerere University, Ethiopia: Bahir Dar University, Mozambique: Data4Moz, Senegal: CSE), HyRelief (Kenya: RCMRD, ILRI), RANGE (Kenya, ILRI), Statistics from Space (Mozambique: CEPPAG).

Currently, the UB and UT are cooperating in a COST Action CA22136 PANGEOS on “PanEuropean Network of Green Deal Agriculture and Forestry Earth Observation Science” and have delivered ERASMUS Blended Intensive Program teaching on Environmental Remote Sensing
